Hari Mesra Pelanggan and Perlis State Level SISPAA Launching Ceremony

Mesra PerlisKANGAR, 30 September 2014 – The State Secretary Office of Perlis and the Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) Office of Pulau Pinang, Kedah and Perlis jointly organised Hari Mesra Pelanggan and the State-level Launching Ceremony of SISPAA at the 2020 Hall, Kangar, Perlis.
 

Both the programmes were officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Azlan bin Man, Chief Minister of Perlis. Also present during the programme were YB Tuan Haji Hamdan bin Bahari, Speaker of the Perlis State Legislative Assembly; YB Tuan Romli bin Dai, State Secretary of Perlis; YBhg. Dato’ Mahani Tan Abdullah, PCB’s Director General; members of the State Exco Council as well as heads of departments of federal and state agencies. The programmes received overwhelming response from the public with almost 1400 attendees recorded. They consist of government officers, local leaders, NGO’s representatives and local residents.

 

For the Hari Mesra Pelanggan Dialogue Session, 35 federal and state government departments/agencies were chosen as panel to interact with the public. The session was chaired by YB Dato’ Mat Rawi bin Kasim, Perlis Exco Council member (Natural Resources & Environment/Corporate Communications and Public Complaints matters/Government Administration/Special Duties) and also taking part were the State Secretary and PCB’s Director General.

 

A total of 22 verbal complaints were received during the dialogue and at the same time, Integrated Mobile Complaints Counters (IMCC) were also set up while the Hari MESRA Pelanggan programme was going on. The IMCC programme was intended assist those who did not have the opportunity to raise questions during the dialogue. 34 departments/agencies such as the Perlis State Secretary Office, Kangar Municipal Council, State Health Department, Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD), Road Transport Department (JPJ) and Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (SIAP) set up booths to provide service and explanation to the public. The IMCC programme recorded 30 complaints.
